Half-time for the Red Dot Award: Communication Design 2017 – regular registration phase ends on 14 May
Only until 14 May, agencies, designers and companies from around the globe have the opportunity to enter their design and creative achievements during the “Regular” registration phase in the Red Dot Award: Communication Design 2017. “Latecomer” can register their works and projects by 9 June the latest. For participation, there are 18 categories which present the spectrum of international communication design.

Award-winning design and its makers: “Light Frieze”
Once a year, the jury of the Red Dot Award: Communication Design honours projects of high design quality. Among the works which received a Red Dot: Best of the Best, the jury awards the Red Dot: Grand Prix. In 2016, the top individual award was granted to the facade design “Light Frieze”, designed by Christ&Gantenbein and iart Basel.

Manufacturers and designers from 54 countries entered their current product innovations in the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2017. 39 experts from all over the world convened in Essen to assess each individual object live and in situ in a process spanning several days.

The regular registration phase runs until 14 May. In 18 categories the projects will be evaluated by a specialist jury. Some of these experts are repeatedly part of the jury. Among others Michel de Boer, Bettina Schulz, Chris Lee and Christof Rezk-Salama will select the winners of the Red Dot Award: Communication Design 2017.

The registration phase of the Red Dot Award: Communication Design 2017 is currently underway. The Red Dot Award opens agencies, designers and companies the doors to a worldwide network of creative and design-oriented companies and offers the winners exclusive opportunities to communicate their success. One of the "Winners' Benefits" is the use of the Red Dot seal for internal and external communication.

The Red Dot Award: Communication Design 2017 is well underway. Agencies, designers and companies from all over the world are currently called upon to submit their well-designed and creative works and projects from the field of communication design. A total of 18 categories are available for participation, one of them is “Poster Design”. The posters which are distinguished with a Red Dot have a high signal function. They are a firm component within comprehensive advertising measures. In the 2016 competition, two works which particularly address current social issues and convincingly implement them visually were awarded the Red Dot: Best of the Best in the category “Posters”, which particularly address current social issues and convincingly implement them visually.

The heart of the Red Dot Award: Communication Design is its jury. With its expertise, it assesses thousands of submissions each year, on the basis of established criteria. In 2017, there are 24 globally recognised experts who meet in Essen, Germany, to jointly decide in a multi-day process about awarding of the coveted label “Red Dot”. Some of these experts are repeatedly part of the jury. Among others Michel de Boer, Bettina Schulz, Chris Lee and Christof Rezk-Salama will select the winners of the Red Dot Award: Communication Design 2017.
