For a long time, China was regarded merely as a manufacturing location; in recent years, however, the region has experienced a real boom as a blossoming economic market with excellent growth rates and promising forecasts for the future. It also offers excellent conditions and enormous potential for the creative industries thanks to targeted state funding and private involvement.
In the face of China’s constantly increasing significance as a location for creative industries, red dot will successfully continue its international involvement at the “Third China International Industrial Design Expo” in Shunde from 16 to19 September 2010. More...»

For the second time around, the kitchen manufacturer Poggenpohl and Porsche Design have extended their partnership agreement. A concept on a journey towards realisation – an interview with red dot winner Wu Yu-Ying

In 2009, Wu Yu-Ying was awarded the red dot award for "Breathing", a chair that transforms its shape according to the body of the person sitting in it. She is currently working with Pinzaan Company Limited to develop "Breathing" into a commercial product.
