New Places – Dornbracht, e15 and Alape Cooperate in Joint Project
e15, Dornbracht and Alape undo old limitations and unite bathroom and living room with the joint project New Places.
The project was presented within the framework of the Designers' Saturday in Langenthal, Switzerland. e15, Dornbracht and Alape all have similar corporate philosophies and standards: manufacturing quality at the highest level. Each company is responsible for its own particular segment: e15 for the conceptual planning, designs and production of the furniture, Dornbracht for the armatures, and Alape for the sinks made of enameled steel.
Alongside the aesthetic value, the three manufacturers consider the inner value of the objects to be an increasingly important aspect. Inspired by bathing and relaxation rituals, the modules of the New Places will gain in value and importance through conscious acts. For example, the module series "welcome" embodies the ritual of entering, in leaving the everyday life outside and beginning the cleaning process. Or the module series "base", which communicates grounding and concentration as a very private experience.
