Designers’ Days in Moscow

Creative exchange between industrial designers from all over the world will be the objective of the “Designers’ Night”, taking place on 30 August 2006, and of the subsequent “Designers’ Days” on 31 August and 1 September 2006 in Moscow. The event is organised by the internet platform of Russian industrial designers, Designet.ru; it will take place on the occasion of the 7th Moscow International Motor Show MIMS-2006.

In the trendy “Vodka Bar” not far from Moscow centre designers from all over the world will get the chance to exchange experiences and to socialise. Particularly in today’s competition it is of vital importance for aspiring designers to take advantage of communication platforms such as the “Designers’ Night” to learn from the experiences of internationally successful designers. For this reason the organisers have additionally arranged the “Designers’ Days” on 31 August and 1 September 2006 inviting to participate in workshops and seminars. Universities and other design institutions from Russia and throughout the world will present themselves to the design interested public.

The “Designers’ Days” are sponsored by the automaker Toyota. A competition for young Russian designers is especially arranged for the MIMS-2006, the “Racing Car Formula GT”. The winner will get the chance to take part in a one year long free course in transportation design at the renowned Instituto Europeo di Design in Turin.
