Guided tours: a hands-on experience!
With about 2,000 exhibits, the Red Dot Design Museum houses the world’s largest exhibition of contemporary design. On a space of ca. 4,000 square meters, it presents only contemporary products which were rewarded in the Red Dot Design Award, one of the largest design competitions in the world. They share a very special feature that distinguishes them from other everyday items: namely their excellent design.
Visitors experience the interaction of old industrial architecture and modern product culture in an inspiring atmosphere at first hand: they are particularly invited to touch and test.
In the course of the museum tours, art historians and designers inform about contemporary industrial design, product culture and the fascinating architecture of the house. But also the exciting history of the competition does not go short. Besides special tours for children, the Red Dot Design Museum also offers guided tours on specific topics – also in English and in French.
