The Product Design competition has existed since 1954. Its award, the Red Dot, is an internationally recognised quality seal. The best products receive the Red Dot: Best of the Best award.

The competition for Design Concepts and prototypes is held annually in Singapore. The highest award for the best of all concepts is the Red Dot: Luminary which includes prize money of SGD 5,000.

The highest award in the Communication Design competition is the “Red Dot: Grand Prix” for the best work in a category. The “Red Dot: Junior Prize”, which includes prize money of 10,000 euros, will be awarded to the best student work.

The branding of the Berlin branch of one of the most famous and largest advertising agencies in Germany may strike some as odd at first. Not “Scholz” but “Heiduk” was projected onto the imposing building facade in huge digital letters. But that was simply because it was the turn of Christin Heiduk, a consultant of the firm, to gain some exposure. In fact, in keeping with the “friends” credo of the legendary founder Jürgen Scholz, every employee got to enjoy the own 30 minutes of fame at one point. More

Red Dot Award: Product Design 2015 - Lu, Bucher and Stotz are new Red Dot jurors

The registration phase of the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2015 is over and the jury out of 38 internationally renowned experts is preparing for the jury session. True to the motto “In search of good design and innovations”, the committee will come together in Essen, Germany, to award the best products of the world. Every year, the Red Dot jury is regrouped and its members are in charge of specific product categories due to their specialised knowledge. New members of the expert group are among others Oliver Stotz, Lam Leslie Lu and Rüdiger Bucher. More

Red Dot on Tour in Basel

Red Dot in Basel enters the next round – From 7 to 23 March 2015, Red Dot again presents the best works of the Red Dot Award: Communication Design in Switzerland.
