Japanese design exhibition at the red dot design museum

The exhibition “Wa: The Spirit of Harmony – Japanese Design Today”, presented at the red dot design museum in co-operation with the Japan Foundation from August 20 to September 20, 2009, was a resounding success. A huge number of enthusiastic visitors from around the world came to the exhibition, which alongside a selection of Japanese design classics showcased recent work by Japanese product designers. Kia product presentation in the red dot design museum

A designer party with an international feel – the award ceremony for the ‘red dot award: communication design 2008’

With a design agency of the year, a red dot cinema and more guests than ever before, there were lots of new developments at this year’s award ceremony for the ‘red dot award: communication design’. The entire evening inspired and impressed around 800 creative artists from the design industry. One of the special highlights of the evening was the presentation of the ‘red dot: design agency of the year’ title to Strichpunkt, which was present on stage to receive its prize, the ‘Stylus’ challenge cup. Singapore celebrates red dot winners

On Friday 28 November 2008, Singapore’s creative scene celebrated the winners of this year’s red dot award: design concept. In the impressive atmosphere of the red dot design museum in Singapore the proud winners were honoured in a spectacular awards presentation in the presence of more than 400 international guests from the design industry. 2nd German-Korean Cooperation Forum on Design 2008

On 24 June 2008, the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen, together with the Seoul Design Center, hosted the second German-Korean Cooperation Forum on Design at the red dot design museum. Interested designers and  entrepreneurs used the chance to establish interesting contacts and exchange views with a delegation from Korea. The main topic was “Life Science Design”, an increasingly relevant and important field in both Germany and Korea due to similar demographic developments in both industrial nations. More »
