“Formosa Forms” exhibition opened in Munich

On 24 February 2015, the exhibition “Formosa Forms – Design trends in technology and lifestyle from Taiwan” was opened at the Munich Creative Business Week. Until 1 March 2015, the exhibition, which was commissioned by the Taiwan Design Center, Taipei, showcases about 100 elaborate exhibits which underline both the contrast and the symbiosis of tradition and modernity in Taiwanese design. Red Dot Design Ranking on the occasion of the IMM Cologne: The most successful seating furniture manufacturers

Several thousands of current products are assessed every year as part of the Red Dot Award. The competition, which has been tracking down the best designs for 60 years now, traditionally receives a particularly large number of entries in the “Living rooms” and “Interior design” categories. Red Dot Award 2014: looking back on a successful year in the name of good design

In 2014, the participants and visitors of Red Dot can look back on a year full of emotions, events and successes. More than 16,500 products, projects and works from 78 countries were entered into the three competitions Red Dot Award: Product Design, Red Dot Award: Communication Design and Red Dot Award: Design Concept. This new record result expresses that the appreciation for excellent design is becoming increasingly important around the world. 6,007 euro for the good cause: successful charity auction in the Red Dot Design Museum Essen

On Sunday, 14 December 2014, the fourth edition of the popular charity auction took place in the Red Dot Design Museum Essen. The event, which is traditionally organised in the Advent season, attracted around 120 fans of good design. A very personal design highlight or a well-shaped Christmas present for one’s family or friends: more than 130 pieces went under the hammer, which was again swung by Vito Orazhem. In front of a full house, the managing director of the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen auctioned off all of the objects in three hours. More
