Holland Dance Festival

(Visual Identity, Campaign)

red dot
red dot award: communication design 2008

The 2007 campaign focused on dance itself. This is visualised through emphasising the expression of certain dance moves by, for instance, combining sharpness and blurriness of movement in the photos. The harsh contrast of placing the images against a magenta background directs the attention to the enormous flexibility, control and choreography of the human body as an art form. In order to represent the festival’s diversity the slogans “see” for the performances, “do” for the participation in workshops, and “experience” for the dance parade were developed.
