red dot award: communication design 2008

The studio’s promotional item for 2008 is a calendar that has been designed and produced by 366 people approached randomly in the streets of Beirut, with no direct affiliation to design and/or visual arts. Each participant received a form that included an empty square to be filled up with the design, the date of the day assigned, as well as the contributor’s name and contact info. The works varied from illustrations, to collages, to personal messages – all eventually rendered in greyscale. The result is a 20 cm high tower of 366 chips, one of which is torn off daily.
