The project “Network New Music”, initiated by the German Federal Cultural Foundation, is to raise the status of New Music. The principle of networking is reflected in the corporate image through several components that connect in the logo’s centre and form an “N” as a typographic identification. The order and inclined position of the elements create a rhythmical overall effect. The variable name 1’33” (2’33”, 3’33” …) of the biannually published newspaper makes reference to the New Music by referring to a work by John Cage.
