red dot award: communication design 2008

Following a liberalisation in the energy market in Portugal the company EDP intended to reposition its brand and strengthen it for future challenges. A great variety of communication platforms was used, and a new brand, edp 5D, was created, which stands for energy with five dimensions – more economical, more convenient, closer, more innovative and more ecological. The design was inspired by organic forms and its aim is to appeal to the emotions.
