The best designers of the red dot design award 2007 in interview: the design teams of Crown Equipment Corporation and Formation Design Group
The US company Crown Equipment Corp. has got the red dot: best of the best for the design of the TSP 6000 series, awarded by an international expert jury in this year’s competition red dot award: product design. In cooperation with the Formation Design Group, the company developed a vehicle, which convinced with its combination of well-conceived functionality and its high-quality design.
With the Crown TSP 6000 series, the US company offers a practical solution to optimise the workflow and to increase productivity. The high rack commissioner unites future-oriented design with highest operator efficiency. A 110° rotary, height adjustable seat can assume five different positions and offers flexible working on the highest level.
To develop the TSP 6000 the operating movements of the best operators were analysed and on this basis an optimised vehicle was designed. Its innovations support all operating processes optimally. The material used is stable, durable and resilient; it was developed in accordance with the standards of the most modern vehicle design. The use of highly developed technologies offers high tech in warehouses.
The multi-functional product developed by Crown engineers and the high-grade look created by designers of the Formation Design Group impressed this year’s red dot jury and was awarded the red dot: best of the best in the category traffic, together with only two other products in the same category.
