Chambers
(Brand Identity)

red dot award: communication design 2007
|
One of the foremost reference book publishers in the UK, Chambers wanted to re-establish themselves, to reclaim the attitude and values that make their dictionaries so special. The strategy was to create a distinc-tive and differentiated identity scheme that, through the use of materials and typography, communicated a sense of heritage, captured the idiosyncrasy and quirkiness of the books and reinforced their relevance. The result is a stylish and elegant brand identity that has rejuvenated the brand and that sets a new visual standard for the reference category.
