Equipped with high performance microprocessors, the PLAYSTATION 3 computer entertainment system is designed for the presentation of interactive content at home. Its curvy shape in combination with sides tapered towards the edges accentuates the stylistic and compact appearance of the unit. In addition, the high-gloss finish enhances the beauty of the curved design. The new wireless controller matches its predecessors in terms of size and weight even with a battery included and also inherits their ergonomic grip design. Various small modifications on the L2/R2 buttons, the tilt angles of the analogue sticks, and the area where the middle fingers support the controllers have been added to the new version. A sensor system to detect tilt and acceleration makes for a novel gaming experience. The PLAYSTATION 3 plays games and Blu-ray discs in high-resolution quality. The user can store media data on the integrated hard drive; USB and Bluetooth interfaces offer the option of connecting digital cameras or data storage and input devices to the PLAYSTATION 3.
