The Wowpen Joy offers the functionality of a computer mouse in an ergonomic design. It is held in a natural position like a pen. The form, resembling an iceberg, rests stably on a compact base and can be picked up fast and moved easily. The colour scheme enables the user to recognise the correct grip intuitively: the metallic portion points forward while the palm rests on the back of the device, which is held in black. In addition, contoured grooves along the side and back guide the user’s hand into the right grip. The fingers wrap around the device so that only the coloured area is visible. The slanted upper edge follows the form of the upper surface of the hand. The smooth and modern form is the result of a design aimed at the best possible ergonomics. It attempts to reduce stress and strain on the wrist and forearm which can occur when a standard mouse is used over a long period of time. The right/left buttons and scroll wheel have been carefully positioned for optimum use by all, regardless of age or size.
