The Intuos3 is an intelligent digitiser tablet for professional users. This system simulates the feeling of working in the digital world with traditional tools such as pen and paper. Ergonomic aspects play a particular role here: due to the integration of individually programmable keys on the tablet, a cumbersome switch back and forth between tablet and keypad is not required any longer. A vertically arranged touchpad serves, according to programming, to scroll up and down Internet pages, or to zoom in and out when working with programmes such as Photoshop or Painter. To meet the different demands of right- and left-handers, the keys are arranged symmetrically on both sides of the active work surface. For space-saving work next to the computer keypad, the wire ducts have been placed under the tablet. Thus, with a simple change of the plug, the cable can be led away from the pad to the side as well as to the back. The cordless and battery-less pen belonging to the system is conceived with three exchangeable tips so that only one pen can be used for a wide variety of applications. The pen holder enables vertical and horizontal placement. In its design, the Wacom Intuos3 is clear and concise. Thus, it adapts itself seamlessly to the world of PC- and Apple Macintosh users with its many colours and shapes.
