The Cintiq 12WX interface device combines intuitive operation of an interactive pen display with the portability and compact size of a traditional pen tablet. It includes a high-resolution, 12“ widescreen display on which the user can directly draw, paint or sketch images. The device has been developed for creative professionals who want to realise conceptual drafts, storyboarding, detail works, retouching or picture compositions. In doing so, it shifts the familiar way of working with pen and paper to the realm of digital creation. Slim, light and with rounded shapes, it is designed as a digital sketchbook. A special finish of the display surface as well as the texture of the housing convey the sort of haptics that approximates the analogue pen-and-pencil experience. If the display is placed flat on the desktop, it can be rotated along its own axis for optimum ergonomic workflow.
