The developers of the PP3400 aimed to create a smartphone which makes messaging in its original form possible. Taking into account user behaviour, the application and navigation keys were enlarged so that they can be operated by thumb alone. The keys are convex-shaped and have a transparent light strip as a visual point of reference when the back-illumination is switched on.
