The SGH-F300 of the Ultra Edition is a GMS compatible mobile phone with a focus on multimedia functions. The design of the compact slim device concentrated on optimising the ease of use. Thanks to rounded edges it is easy to hold and the use of metals conveys a robust haptic quality. Both sides of the casing are equipped with a display and operating elements. Telephone functions such as Sub-LCD, numeric keys and function keys are located on one side, while multimedia functions such as main LCD, touch keys, MP3 Player and Internet are located on the other side. This display also serves as a monitor for video calls and as a viewfinder for the two-megapixel camera, which is integrated on the side where the keys are located. The touch sensitive keypad for operating the player is also used for writing SMS messages. The SGH-F500 model of the Ultra Edition features a spatial separation of telephone and multimedia functions as the basis for an efficient use. The mobile phone has a large QVGA display, which thanks to its rotary joint can be put in an upright position so that multimedia functions can also be used when the device is placed flat on a surface. When the display is rotated by 180 degrees, the camera mode is activated. The Bluetooth equipped portable charger for the SGH-F500 can be used as a charging cradle and as a stereo sound system thanks to its built-in loudspeakers. The device comes with a built-in 400 MB memory.
