The design concept of the Vertu Signature mobile phone is an exciting combination of traditional craftsmanship and high-performance technology. In order to set new standards of high-quality precision, advice was sought during its development from aeronautics specialists as well as from experts in the automobile industry, jewellers and watchmakers. The patented keypad is one example of the innovative results: the 18 keys of the signature keypad rest on precious ruby bearings, thereby guaranteeing the keyboard’s extreme resilience and hardiness. Just as resilient is the scratch-proof display, which is produced from 83-carat sapphire crystal in a costly procedure. A fondness for handcrafted detail is also obvious in the equally stylish and practical SIM card draw. Engraved like an actual piece of jewellery, it enables the SIM card to be changed with ease. The rechargeable battery cover, bearing the signature of the master craftsman who produced the Vertu Signature, is easy to remove thanks to its precision clamp fastening.
