The Ipevo Free.1 is a USB handset, which can be operated similar to a telephone, allowing free-of-charge phoning via the Internet. A large opening in the lower half of the unit serves to reduce echo- and reverberation effects during operation. In addition, it can be used as grip or loop for carrying and/or hanging up the set. The design with small proportions corresponds to ergonomical criteria and allows comfortable phoning even over longer periods of time. The unit features a central key to start the software and a scroll key to search for contact data. Additional Skype function keys serve to change menu settings, to use SkypeOut via country codes already stored, to programme short instructions, and to change the online status or ring tones.
