The iPod Nano is a music player for trend-conscious people who like to listen to music or audio books or watch videos on the go. The front is made of anodised aluminium, while the back is of polished stainless steel. The device is available in six colours; and unlike the coloured versions the black version does not feature a white operating button. The iPod design is reduced to the essentials; the display and the centrally located user unit characterise its appearance, with the rectangular display and the ring-shaped user controls forming an attractive contrast. The device is 6.5 mm thin and has a fine look. The display has a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels and features a blue-white backlight. The player is available with either 4 GB or 8 GB of memory and can hold up to eight hours of video, 2,000 songs or 7,000 photos. In addition to playing video and music the iPod Nano features a calendar and contacts function, a stopwatch and an international clock.
