Aside from storing and playing back songs and pictures, the iPod (fifth generation) with 30 or 60GB are also capable of playing back videos. Thus, the user can listen to his favourite hits and also view video clips accompanying the music on the 320 x 240 pixels QVGA display. The unit supports the formats MPEG-4 and H.264 video and is capable of delivering up to 150 hours of video viewing pleasure or storing up to 15000 songs, according to memory capacity. The iPod is operated via the pressure-sensitive surface of the Apple Click Wheel. One motion of the user's thumb is enough to navigate through the entire music-, photo- and video collection, play songs, skip them, fast forward, rewind, or adjust the volume. The iPod is designed with a compact format of 35 x 6.18 x 1.1cm or 1.4cm alternatively, allows recharging and synchronisation via USB, and can also be operated via remote control.
