Designing the Terios it was the first objective to emphasise its futuristic proportions featuring a long wheelbase and very short overhangs. In particular a rounded front bumper and rearward-extended headlights have been used to make the front overhang look shorter and lighter. The D-pillar in the rear is concealed by the side window, giving a lighter finish to the rear overhang. The sophisticated design details from the front to the rear further emphasise the large wheels and tyres that firmly support the vehicle at the four corners of the body and give the car a powerful presence. The second objective was to express the high-performance image of the SUV. The eye-catching enlargement of the wheel arch, the sturdy looking door sections and the prominent front styling, they all contribute to Terios' powerful SUV image.
