The face of the new E-Class may have changed but it remains true to itself nevertheless. The powerful silhouette with its wedge-shaped rising sideline, the arrow-shaped form with the new “four-eye” front and the muscular rear create a new interplay of dynamics, power and self-confidence. The newly-designed four “eyes” were inspired by the geometrical forms found in cubism and look like gemstones that have been precisely ground out of the wings. The modern design has been thought through down to the last detail and is characterised by a dramatic combination of large concave and convex surfaces structured by taut, clearly defined lines.
