Using a new, high-speed, wireless chip technology, Oticon Epoq acts as an intelligent interface between the user and his immediate acoustic environment. The innovative technology provides a unique spatial sound experience. It allows the two devices to communicate with each other supporting the brain’s proper interpretation of sounds in the environment. As such, the user has an improved capability to locate sounds, focus on wanted sounds and eliminate unwanted ones. Together with the Epoq Streamer, an elegant companion device, the tiny, slim hearing devices turn into a trendy Bluetooth headset creating a wireless connection to Bluetooth-compatible devices such as mobile phones, MP3 players, GPS systems or computers, and thus facilitating everyday life with modern communication devices. Epoq goes beyond mere compensation for hearing loss – it represents a comprehensive communication system that appeals even to people with normal hearing abilities.
