The Medico hospital lamp and its supply unit allow for both direct and indirect hospital room illumination. It consists of three separate ducts – two for lighting and one for medical gases – and can be fitted with different electrical and communication components, sockets and switches on the underside of the unit, so that the front is free of technical details. The lamp is made of anodised extruded aluminium and its main components, such as body, cover and front panel, allow easy assembly, use and maintenance. The front panel has a double role: thanks to its radiused overhang at the top and bottom, it prevents unpleasant glare, so that users never look directly into the light; at the same time, it forms the third duct, which separates and isolates the gases from the electrical components. Medico’s simple form, modularity and flexible dimensions enable it to be used in a variety of hospital interiors.
