LED Surgical Luminaire

The surgical LED luminaire is based on an innovative lighting concept. A new construction with 54 multifaceted DUO reflectors each equipped with two light diodes combines optics and light, thus providing essential functions such as shadow control, colour accuracy, depth illumination and realistic contrast with enhanced quality. Furthermore, the luminaire allows a clear separation of sterile and non-sterile areas. With the sterilisable handle located centrally in the luminaire, the surgeons can control the lighting system themselves during operations and thus adjust the lighting to suit their needs. Smooth surfaces allow for effective cleaning and easy maintenance, and the flat disc made of single-pane safety glass allows optimal protection of the lighting system. The disc is mounted flush with the soft circumferential rim. The circumferential, ergonomically shaped handle is positioned above the light-emitting surface and can be reached easily from all sides. The convex shape at the top and the flat, compact design give the luminaire an aerodynamic look.
