Cardiohelp is a portable life-support system for patients who need circulatory and/or respiratory support. Its low weight and small dimensions make for a particularly small and light life-support system. Thanks to its specific user modes and disposable products, this unit is suitable for use in intensive care units as well as emergency rooms, cardiac catheter labs and operating theatres, and for transport within or between hospitals. This makes it possible to extend the field of application of the principle of extracorporeal circulation providing the heart and/or the lungs with oxygen, thus increasing the number of lives that can be saved or sustained. The device has a clearly structured design with simple user guidance and can be operated via a single push-and-turn button and a touch screen.
