The small, handy form of the PD 4 range meter is reminiscent of a mobile phone. Its slim design makes it comfortable to hold and delivers a high degree of mobility. The casing displays a robustness that predestines its use outdoors in adverse conditions. Its surface is largely protected by an abrasion-proof and shock-absorbing Softgrip covering, and is furthermore waterproof and dustproof. The device is suitable for the laser-backed measurement of distances, offering a range of between 0.2 and 70 metres. The result of the measurement appears on the display when the central operating button is pressed; the two previous measurements remain displayed, which simplifies the calculation of areas and volumes. Thanks to its ease of use a measurement can be carried out by one person.
