The Disto D3 laser distance meter belongs to the new generation of precision measuring instruments by Leica Geosystems. This tool allows fast and precise measurement of lengths, areas and volumes. Its product design represents the values tradition, precision and perfection. Characteristic is the interplay of materials with different haptic and visual effects. As such, the casing incorporates a soft component to give the product the robustness required on building sites. At the same time, a chrome element accentuates its function and communicates the instrument’s claim to extreme accuracy of measurement. The device includes an integrated tilt sensor, which can be used to determine inclinations of up to 45 degrees. A multifunctional end piece allows measurement out of corners, notches or off edges. In dark surroundings, the unit automatically turns on the keypad and display lighting.
