Fast beauty – design and integration Even though the principles have remained the same, pumps in today’s industrial plants have little in common with their cast-iron ancestors dating back to the early days of industrialisation. Handling “uncompressible media” such as liquids or paste within complex production facilities, today’s demands call for the use of high-tech pumps. HiPace is such a line of pumps that offer high pumping speed, high gas throughput, as well as very high compression for light gases. These pumps are very fast with pumping speeds that range between 10 to 700 litres per second – in addition to analytical, vacuum-process and semiconductor technology, their broad range of applications thus also include coating, research and development and industrial applications. A very important aspect with regard to industrial manufacturing is that the HiPace pumps feature short run-up times, meaning that they are able to go into service very fast within the production process. The operability of these pumps too is well thought out: clearly designed remote and sensor functionalities allow pump data, such as temperatures, to be quickly analysed. The HiPace pump product family translated these innovative characteristics coupled with flexibility in use into a very clear language of form. The pumps follow a compact layout and with their aluminium housing convey both high quality and lasting durability. Their design showcases a very consistent approach in which the product family too becomes clearly discernible; the HiPace pumps feature a highly self-explanatory quality and equal recognisability. Due to the use of new materials these pumps are also very lightweight – they communicate this very lightness and thus bring an aesthetic quality to their field of use.
