The challenge in the development of this ice fishing drill has been to improve its performance in terms of function and ergonomics. Alongside its construction with innovative technology, the design of the auger crown is marked by the use of a light and strong composite that helped to achieve a number of advancements simultaneously. The shape and torque have become more stable, the crown is removable to facilitate switching to a spare crown, and two guide lugs prevent classic auger jam, which usually occurs the moment that the auger crown breaks through the ice. The shape and the geometry of the crank were based on ergonomic studies of human body movements in order to achieve the transfer of maximum power through the auger to the crown.
