A pleasant companion. The airports and train stations of the big cities themselves cover large areas. The nodal points of global mobility are not always laid out so as to facilitate movement in straight lines: often there is a lot of walking to be done. Also, most business travellers only see the airport and their hotel in the cities they visit anyway. That is where they eat and sleep and perhaps write up the day's business in their notebooks before flying off somewhere else. For people constantly on the move their luggage is a close companion.
Accordingly, the design of a suitcase must be thoroughly thought out in every detail and absolutely functional in every situation. Altair in the Xylem series is an addition to the rigid shell collection on which a patent is currently pending - high-quality and with up-market appeal. Special mention should be given to a combination of two aspects: a bridge handle for towing the suitcase that follows a new functional logic in that it is slightly extendible and easy-running large wheels. Taken together, they make Altair fast and mobile.
Easy access to clothing packed in the back is similarly evidence of a good all-round solution. Packing and unpacking at home or on the move is much simpler. Altair is well equipped inside with a bag to protect clothing. Soft, flexible corners in aluminium look material guard against rough handling in transit. This is a well designed travelling companion with up-market appeal that incorporates well thought out functionality and is likely to become indispensable.
