Orientile Wall Tile Series

red dot
red dot award: product design 2009

Following the current trend towards orientalism the Orientile wall tile series reflects the rich heritage of the Ottomans and Seljuks. Realised in an exquisite series of wall tiles the graceful patterns of ancient cultures experience a new interpretation by forming a symbiotic relationship with modern design. While the Aya series is inspired by the rich embellishments of the ceremonial robes of Ottoman sultans the Feza tile range follows the patterns and colours of the Seljuk culture. The wall tiles are available in manifold colours; in some way they are the expression of an interior design that is committed to history as well as modern spirit.
