The concept behind the Phoenix lounge chair is the integrated staging of seating furniture. In the design of the chair, the aspects functionality, ergonomics and aesthetics played a vital role. With these complementary – and still somewhat contrasting – requirements, the intention was to create a mutually interactive element of suspense between man and design. The robust Dedon fibre was woven into a tight fishbone pattern. The curved contours and surfaces are an essential element of expression in the collection. A dynamically shaped seating surface embraces the body in a pleasing way.
