The art of good living – design and association
It is the sun-blessed Côte d’Azur and the acclaimed French cuisine that nourish the myth of the typically French art of living. This myth is associated with cultivated and sociable people who know how to celebrate life in style – an image that also happens to correspond to the idea of lounging, an idea that is currently reflected in the design of many products for outdoor use. When looked at in more detail, this image also implies an ease of being that is highly elaborate and even celebrated, an association that as such is also expressed in the Tandem sunlounger’s language of form. With its gracious appearance, this sunlounger conveys both an attitude towards life that is just as cultivated and, closely linked to this, a functionality for fast and easy adjustability. These sunloungers offer multiple configurations and combinations in outdoor use. They can be placed – according to need – either singularly, side by side, or even facing each other, thus creating constellations that organise the required space in any way necessary for sharing time with friends. With its clear and almost elliptical appearance, the rack of the sunlounger is lightweight and thus easy to transport. The rack is made of a durable powder-coated aluminium frame; the reclining back consists of a graceful Batyline mesh and is strengthened by glass fibre side rails. Further underlining this felicitous impression of ease, the sunlounger can be fitted with easy-to-mount trays on which users can nonchalantly place their cocktail glasses. The sunlounger can also accommodate sunshades.
