In the field of cutlery these kitchen knives are an innovation as they feature removable handle weights. The conceptual framework of this project for different knives was based on a comprehensive analysis. The designers concluded that only changing the weights of the handles would help chefs not to get tired. These knives easily adjust to one’s personal sense of balance. User-friendly and ergonomic they optimise their balance in the hand as they keep their proper weight balance under different conditions even when working a long time with them. Once the user has placed the weight or several weights in longitudinal direction within the hollow compartment, the weight mounting assembly will configure an axially balance suitable for the user’s particular needs.
