The inclined geometry of the contura 3 represents the principle of gravity slicing known in industry. In a straight-line stylistic language this principle has been transferred for the use in private households. Its body and the carriage for the items to be sliced are made of aluminium extruding mould profile. For slicing bulky items the carriage can be taken off by unlocking it at the front cover. This allows flexible handling and easy cleaning of the device.
