This internationally patented fresh fish packaging is created to portray the premium fresh fish fillets by Deutsche See as the very best the sea has to offer. In line with the image of a "fish in the sea", an innovative form of packaging was designed which exploits the special features of the packaging technology. The tension of the shrink wrap is used as design element so that the packet gets its final upright shape during the actual packaging process. The transparent lateral wings with the opposing profile of the brand-specific wave and the shrink wrap shaped like a trough between two waves point to the origin of the product - the sea. In the self-service chest refrigerator, this creates the image of a shoal of fish swimming by underneath the undulating surface of the billowing sea.
