The table program 010 was designed in co-operation between Dieter Rams and Thomas Merkel. The system consists of a high and a low table. When you place the low below the high table, lateral pockets arise, in which you can put newspapers and magazines. When you pull out the low below, it is leaded by the high table. The system is completed by a low bench. You can also put the high table above the bench, so that lateral pockets arise again, for filing magazines. A pad for the bench is additionally available. Naturally one can use the tables and benches single.

The table program could be combined excellently with the lounge chair system 620 designed by Dieter Rams. It is also possible to use the tables in different situations, because of their reserved design. The bench is an ideal complement in front of large upholstered furniture and it serves, as the high and low tables too, as a variable place to put something on it, which can be adjusted to the individual demands by several different arrangements.
