Design Expert Professor Dr. Zec selected for the Jury of the Design for Asia Award 2008 in Hong Kong

Design and business expert Professor Dr. Peter Zec again travelled to Hong Kong this year in order to provide his professional judgement. This time he was invited to the Design for Asia (DFA) Award 2008 in order to be a member of the jury for the “DFA Grand Award”. Alongside him, nine other world-renowned experts from the fields of business, science and design were also present in Hong Kong in order to determine the recipients of the “DFA Grand Award”, an honour presented to the best ten products across all DFA Award categories. Evaluation criteria for the award include design quality, influence in Asia and also commercial success.

Professor Dr. Peter Zec has been active for over 20 years as a communications and design consultant for numerous international and domestic companies, and has achieved great worldwide recognition in over 30 countries as a result of his lectures. The initiator of the red dot design award and senator of the internal design association Icsid is a leading aficionado of the international design scene and has issued numerous essays and professional publications. In his “red dot lectures”, the intellectual and creative mastermind of red dot regularly talks about the importance of design for business and society, and presents the latest developments in the world of design.
