Register now for the red dot award: product design 2009!

Designers and companies from all over the world are now once again invited to register their products for the red dot design award. The coveted trophy is the red dot, the seal for design quality. Register now online at www.red-dot.de/registration before December 5, 2008 and profit from our Early Bird rebate. Registrations close on January 23, 2009. This year, the Australian „Curve” magazine will be the international media partner of the red dot design award.

Face the global comparison!
With about 11,000 entries from more than 60 countries the red dot design award is one of the largest design competitions worldwide and offers the opportunity of comparing yourself to international competition. Renowned design experts from all over the world judge the product submissions – in contrast to other design competitions – side-by-side in the judging hall and only award the “red dot”, the globally recognized seal for quality design, to the best entries. Such an award makes your success visible and guarantees you a distinguished place on the global market.

The products are adjudicated in seventeen different categories. This year, further differentiation of the product categories creates an increased concentration of expertise, because for each individual product category experts are selected to adjudicate the entries. Thus, the results of each category will in the end reflect the future of the respective industry and therefore serve as a guideline for both manufacturers and designers worldwide.

Awards presentation and exhibition in the red dot design museum
The awards presentation for all winners of the red dot award: product design 2009 will take place on 29 June 2009 in the festive atmosphere of the Essen Aalto Theatre. The red dot design museum will then present the winning products in a special exhibition from 30 June to 26 July 2009. Following the special exhibition, the award-winning products will be exhibited for at least one year in the red dot design museum on the premises of the UNESCO cultural heritage site Zollverein.
