The results of the Red Dot Award: Communication Design 2015 are now available. The international Red Dot jury has chosen the best entries of the year from a total of 7.451 submissions.

Registration period starts at the end of October

Innovations wanted: On 26 October, the registration period of the Red Dot Award: Product Design will begin. With the help of the jury of experts, the international competition appraises the best products of the year.

China Good Design

Communication Salon successfully held in the Embassy of Federal Republic of Germany in Beijing

On the occasion of the start of China Good Design, 104 top-class guests of the Chinese design and economic scene visited the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Beijing. The first “Communication Salon” was held under the motto “Good design for China” by Prof. Dr. Peter Zec, founder and CEO of Red Dot.

From 30 October to 2 November 2015, Red Dot brings the world of design to the Chinese metropolis of Xiamen: This year, the "Xiamen International Design Business Week - Red Dot in China" will show a Red Dot curated exhibition with over 150 award-winning products. Many exciting companies and designers will also present themselves at special booths. In addition, the Red Dot Academy will provide once again an academic programme for advanced design studies.

In 1979, a short circuit leads to a fire that destroys the exhibition and the interior. After moving to the Amerikahaus (1980 - 1988) and the Former city library (1988 - 1997), the boiler house of the Zeche Zollverein Coal Mine Industrial Complex becomes the new home of the design exhibition from 1997.
