Prior to any building project, the foundation needs to be inspected in order to guarantee safe and stable statics. The newly developed logo for the geologists Firchow & Melchers is inspired by a drill core as it is obtained when conducting a geological survey. In a sophisticated implementation, the image indicates stylised layers of soil with a column consisting of differently coloured surfaces. The logo on the business stationery is visible on the front as well as on the back, symbolising transparency and insights into what is actually hidden.
