Jurors red dot award: communication design 2009

Rainer Hirt
“In sound design, an exciting development in the conceptual implementation of company-relevant values in the form of auditive parameters is recognisable. At present, modular corporate sound systems are created meeting the requirement of a brand-adequate transmission in all multimodal points of contact.”
Rainer Hirt, born in 1979, studied communication design at the University of Applied Sciences in Constance. After graduating, he founded, together with Michael Hoppe and Markus Reiner, Anemono Kommunikation, today known as audity, an agency that specialises in audio branding, audio interaction and audio experience. Back in 2003, he had already founded the corporate sound Internet platform audio-branding.de, a well known expert resource on the topic of sound branding. Rainer Hirt is, among other things, the author and co-editor of the “Audio-Branding” compendium, as well as the author of the “Brand-Sound” series published in the “novum” magazine. He is in charge of research projects at various universities and, in 2008, founded the International Community for Audio Branding (ICAB).
