Poggenpohl and Porsche to launch a new designer kitchen

For the second time around, the kitchen manufacturer Poggenpohl and Porsche Design have extended their partnership agreement. Following the resounding success of the kitchen produced during their first collaboration (P’7340), the team is now preparing for the launch, by the year 2014, of a follow-up model, likewise to stand out for its functional and minimalist design.

Elmar Duffner, managing director of Poggenpohl Möbelwerke GmbH, was clearly satisfied with the extension of the partnership agreement, saying: “The brand cooperation between Porsche Design and Poggenpohl is a success story. I very much look forward to continuing our collaboration.” Dr. Jürgen Geßler, CEO of Porsche Design Group, was also greatly pleased about the extension of the agreement, adding: “The Porsche Design luxury kitchen is the perfect complement to our range—and Poggenpohl the ideal partner. With its minimalist design, the P’7340 is the true embodiment of our brand’s clean, sleek lines. With this luxury model, we offer the ideal kitchen not only for those who like to cook but also for those who have fun with high tech!”

A recipient of the red dot award: product design in 2008, the P’7340 can now be found everywhere where affluent clients and investors in high-quality apartment complexes value distinguished quality and exclusivity. Around the globe, some 90 selected dealers and Poggenpohl studios presently distribute the kitchens developed in collaboration with Porsche Design.

More recently, Poggenpohl secured a prestigious order from the legendary Paris Hotel Ritz, where the Porsche Design kitchen will be fitted into the hotel’s most expensive suite, the “Imperial”. A further order for the Porsche Design kitchen comes from the Portuguese capital Lisbon, where Poggenpohl will deliver seven of its P’7340 luxury units for an exclusive apartment building in the famous Chiado district.
