red dot design yearbook
The yearbooks of the red dot design award are international reference works for excellent design. Companies, journalists, architects, planners, designers and people all over the world who are interested in design use the yearbooks for their day-to-day work and keep them over the years as collectors’ items and an archive of excellent design. The products that win within the “red dot award: product design” are presented in two volumes: “living” and “doing”. These two books are quite different, yet equally fascinating. Not only do they present the winners, they also introduce the people who developed and designed the products. With numerous pictures, interesting background information and detailed features on the designers and an essay on the design team of the year, “living” and “doing” not only offer a comprehensive overview of current innovations and trends, but also make up a standard reference work for up-to-the-minute design.
