red dot celebrated successful year of international involvement with exclusive exhibition in Hong Kong as culminating event
When the gates of the new Design School of the Hong Kong Design Institute opened on 25 November 2010, a new chapter in the history of professional design promotion begun in Hong Kong. All four formerly separate faculties are now housed under the roof of the new building complex and offer students of the creative industries a wide range of trainings as well as optimal opportunities for professional development.
Hong Kong is an excellent example of a close and constructive collaboration between companies, governmental institutions, academies, and designers and is internationally regarded as an important business location. red dot is also aware of the special status of this pulsating metropolis and as co-organiser shows a presence at this festive occasion with a reception and an exhibition.

One day after the big opening, red dot hold a reception on 26 November 2010, where Hong Kong’s creative scene came together in a relaxed atmosphere to exchange ideas and expertise as well as to make new and cultivate existing contacts.
red dot presents: Leading Design of the World
From 26 November 2010 to 25 February 2011 red dot will present a selection of products that have received accolades in the red dot design award. The exclusive selection will show a cross-section of the international Who’s Who of design: Dyson, Tupperware, Apple, BMW, Dell, Walter Knoll, and Artemide are only some of the illustrious companies that will be represented on site with their exhibits.
