karlssonwilker Inc. is the design studio of Hjalti Karlsson and Jan Wilker, located in the heart of Manhattan. Originally from Iceland and Germany respectively, the two work on all sorts of projects, with a wide range of clients. They are avid speakers in the design community at schools, and often give talks and workshops to clients and industry folk. “Tellmewhy”, a book about their first two years in business, was published by Princeton Architectural Press (NY) in 2003. Their work has appeared in numerous design publications, and they have received nearly one thousand awards. They work for clients such as the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), MTV, bloomberg, Vitra, Print Magazine, Puma, New York Times Magazine, ADC, and The Guggenheim.
